Beautiful Lessons & Carols Service on the Fourth Sunday in Advent!
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
The Ninth Lesson - John 1:14
Fr. Scott's sermon for the Fourth Sunday in Advent focused on the history of the Nine Lessons and Carols service and God's plan for our redemption as revealed in the nine lessons. Please find his complete sermon at the 52:30 mark at the following link:
And thank you to everyone who read one of the lessons during the service:
Earl and Rosalind
Mike and Diane
Daryl and Claudia
Matt and Teresa
and Fr. Scott!
And a special 'Thank You' to Sue and Scott for arranging for the string quartet and the beautiful music!
And to Sue for sharing her amazing violin talents and skills!
Daryl took a few before service pictures!
Welcome back from Hilton Head!
It was wonderful to have Sigrid back with us!
Thank you Daryl for all the pictures!!
After services we headed downstairs for some wonderful food and socializing!
Our wonderful food included Teresa's Wassail (perfect for a cold rainy day) and Deborah's homemade (and very yummy) Yule Log!
God has blessed St. Peters so much and in so many ways this past year! It was wonderful to see both the sanctuary and the fellowship hall so full!
Also, thank you to everyone who worked to make this Fourth Sunday in Advent so special!
Another wonderful Sunday at St. Peter's!
Mike and Claudia delivered a Christmas Tree to Wesley this past week! We have missed having Wesley at St. Peters and pray he is able to join us again in the near future!
Mike hung the sign from The Church of the Good Shepherd, the Anglican Church several of our members attended in Abingdon before coming to St. Peters. We will always cherish the beautiful memories of that loving parish family!
Sue continues to lead our weekly online prayer group on Tuesday at 11:30. Thank you so much Sue for taking the time each week to lead our prayers! If you have a special prayer request but cannot join us, please send your request to Sue. Please contact me (Rosalind) if you would like to join us on Discord.
Many of us do our holiday shopping at Amazon. Please remember to go to:
and select Saint Peter the Apostle Anglican Catholic Church as your charity to generate donations for Saint Peter's. (Please note the church location will be listed as Blountville as that is where St. Peter's was incorporated.)
There is no additional cost to you but we receive a small percentage of each purchase when we are selected!
