On Wednesday Rose Marie, Carole, and Jim hosted this month's Family Night Out. Rose Marie and Carole served homemade spaghetti, bread, and salad, Thank you for the wonderful food.

On Saturday Teresa, Earl, Rose Marie, and Rosalind attended the Deanery Picnic in Mills River, NC. While the temperature was a bit chilly, the company was warm and the food was wonderful.
Beautiful facilities - notice the new Mills River, NC tee-shirts layered on for warmth!
The dramatic drive back over the mountains on I-26, showcasing the low hanging clouds the Smokies are famous for!

On Sunday Russell Hendrix led our Christian Education session discussing Faith and Works. He started with a review of Christian/Church history related to big issues and debates.

Sunday Sept. 1 @ 10 am - Russell is leading Christian Education.
Sunday Sept. 1 @ 11 am -The lay readers are leading Morning Prayer services.
We are still collecting socks (particularly diabetic socks) and cereal for Shades of Grace.

Sat. Sept. 21 - Church yard sale. Jim is organizing a yard sale to raise money for new bushes/landscaping for the Church. Please start collecting items that we can offer.
Wed. Sept. 25 - Women's Bible Study starts again. We are using Margaret Feinberg's six week session "Scouting the Divine, Searching for God in Wine, Wool, and Wild Honey". Time and place to be determined.
Oct. 6 @ 11 am - Father Scott Koszalinski from Knoxville will lead Holy Communion Services. He has agreed to come the first Sunday of the month starting in Oct.
