Next Sunday, Nov. 29, the First Sunday in Advent, we are holding our annual Congregational Meeting! We will be:
1. electing a new Mission Committee member,
2. reviewing 2020,
3. reviewing (& hopefully approving) our 2021 budget.
Also, Fr. Scott will formally introduce himself and discuss some of his thoughts and ideas for St. Peters.
Please join us! If you are unable to attend, but would still like to vote please let me know. We will arrange to call you as we begin the voting, will read you the motion and record your vote. Even though we can't all be together, your thoughts and votes are so important.
Mike led our Morning Prayer Service this past Sunday. His sermon expanded on the Gospel Lesson which describes Jesus feeding the 5000 men with 5 barley loaves and two small fish. The author of the sermon pointed out that in this scene, the LORD provided "sufficient for their needs" - they ate all they wanted! This same lesson is found in Psalm 23 (The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."), 2 Cor 12:9 (My grace is sufficient for thee), and John 6:35 (I am the bread of life). Thank you Mike for leading the service!
Fr Scott led our Christian Education Session this Sunday. His topic was The Christian Year. He traced the evolution from a Jewish based calendar to the Christian calendar we have now. He reviewed the timing of Easter and Christmas, the Saints days/feasts, and the church seasons & colors. Thank you so much Fr. Scott for preparing such an interesting lesson! Next week he will discuss the Building Orientation in an Anglican Church and the priest's vestments.
After service we ate a wonderful lunch including Claudia's homemade beef vegetable soup, Carole's fruit bowl, and Rose Marie's Hershey Chocolate Cake. Thank you all for providing such a wonderful lunch!
The chocolate cake was specially made for our newest chocolate lover, Maryl, on her Birthday!! Happy Birthday, Maryl and many more!
We were so thrilled that Maryl's parents, Jon and Anne, joined us for services and lunch.
Amber looked particularly satisfied with her crackers!
After our luncheon feast, we decorated the church for Advent. We put up the Advent wreath, the Christmas Tree, the door wreathes, and changed the Altar linens. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures! I will include some next week!
Women's Bible Study restarted this past week. We completed Lesson 4 in the Made to Crave series. This Wednesday we will finish Lesson 5 which covers chapters 11, 12, 13, & 14 in the book. We were so happy that Agnes could join us. Thank you Teresa for continuing to lead this insightful study.
Sue continues to lead our weekly online prayer group on Tuesday at 11:30. Thank you so much Sue for taking the time each week to lead our prayers! If you have a special prayer request but cannot join us, please send your request to Sue. Please contact me if you would like to join us but are not on Discord.
Fr. Dennis wrote our last article for the November issue of 'The Wooded Place' magazine. Thank you so much Fr. Dennis for helping us so many times this year with different articles!

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols with the Symphony of the Mountains String Quartet
The Festival tells the story of the birth of Jesus Christ through nine scripture readings interspersed with traditional Christmas hymns. First used in England to start the healing process after the horrors of WWI, the Festival is Anglican in origin but now used by many churches. Our service features the Symphony of the Mountains string quartet playing traditional Christmas Hymns.
Please join us on Sunday, December 13 at 11 am.
Many of us do our holiday shopping at Amazon. Please remember to go to:
and select Saint Peter the Apostle Anglican Catholic Church as your charity to generate donations for Saint Peter's. There is no additional cost to you but we receive a small percentage of each purchase when we are selected!
Teresa received a notice from Amazon that we have received over $235 in Amazon Smile donations since last year!
Another wonderful meme from Teresa! So timely given our sermon topic this past Sunday.
