St. Peter the Apostle Anglican Church lost one of our cherished members, Mike McCord, this past Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Mike will be missed greatly by all of us and most especially by Claudia.
Please keep Claudia in your prayers as she grieves the loss of her beloved husband. Also pray for the departed soul of Mike and remember all those he left behind.
REQUIEM aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace.
Amen.
ETERNAL rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
Amen.
Unto God's gracious mercy and protection we commit you. The LORD bless you and keep you. The LORD make his face to shine upon you , and be gracious unto you. The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace, both now and evermore.
Amen

On Saturday May 16 at 10 am, Mike was laid to rest in a graveside service at the Monte Vista Memorial Park in Johnson City.
A Memorial Service, led by Fr. Paul, was later on Saturday May 16 at 1:30 pm at St. Peter's. The beautiful service was followed by a reception in the church's fellowship hall.

Anglican Province of America
Synod 2026

Fr. Paul and Teresa are attending the Anglican Province of America Synod the week of July 20 - 24 in Annapolis, Maryland. The Synod is always interesting both because of the experience of seeing how the national church operates and the joy of meeting so many other Anglicans from across the country. While all members are invited to attend, St. Peter's is allowed one more lay attendee with voting privileges. Please see Teresa or Fr. Paul if you are interested in filling this role as one of St. Peter's voting representatives!
Please see the following link for information on the Synod, agenda, and registration:
