This week for Christian Education we participated in The Voice of The Martyrs International Day of Prayer. We listened to a video about an assassinated North Korean Pastor and the over 1000 people he brought to Christ. Fr. Scott encouraged us to think deeper about the bible verses we read as part of this lesson.

Fr. Scott led a beautiful Holy Communion Service including a very thought provoking sermon on how we are meant to reflect the light of God. After service, we had a lovely brunch and lots of conversation.

Rose Marie and Rosalind led the first of six Bible Studies at The Blake assisted living facility. Ten residents attended. The Blake has lovely facilities and prepared all the food to go with the lesson. We look forward to next week's lesson entitled "Delighting in the Sweetness of Fruitfulness".

The St. Peter's Womens Bible Study group finished the third lesson, "On the Farm", in the Scouting the Divine series. We met at Lynn's house - Thank you so much Lynn for hosting us - the food was wonderful and the furniture collected on your travels is beautiful!
This Thursday, we will meet at The Coffee Company in Elizabethton at 10 am. We will start Lesson 4 - In the Hive, Discovering a Land Overflowing with Honey. Please refer to Teresa's email for more information.

Mike and Claudia are hosting an early Thanksgiving Feast at their house on Wednesday, Nov 13 starting at 1:30. Claudia has a list of dishes needed - please contact her if you haven't already signed up. Also, they are asking for a final count by next Sunday - so please let them know if you plan to come by end of service this Sunday.
