Service in Memory of Earl Dunn & The Second Sunday after Trinity

"I am the resurrection and the life, saith the Lord: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. "

Book of Common Prayer, p 324 (John 11:25-26)

This past Saturday we celebrated the life of one of our much beloved founding members , Earl Dunn.

Fr. Dennis, along with Br. Scott and Mike led a beautiful service both inside and outside the church.

Mike preparing before the service.

After the Holy Communion service Fr. Dennis blessed the Memorial Garden that Earl built!

After the services, we celebrated (as requested by Earl) with an 'Irish Wake" including:

delicious finger food and

family and friends of Earl.

A beautiful and joyous day to celebrate and remember Earl!

Please find the complete service at the following link:

At the bottom of this post I have included pictures of Earl!

Thank you Fr. Dennis for driving over from North Carolina, leading the beautiful service, the lovely homily, and visiting with Earl prior to his passing.

Thank you Mike and Br. Scott for serving with Fr. Dennis!

Thank you to all the ladies for all your hard work and dedication preparing the church and the food.

Canon Bob and his lovely wife Chris joined us for Holy Communion this past Sunday, The Second Sunday after Trinity. His sermon focused on the Gospel lesson from Luke 14 about the parable of the great supper. He reminded us that we hold God in our hand during Holy Communion and just how intimate we are with both God and each other at that moment. Truly the Communion of Saints.

After services we enjoyed a light lunch - finishing off the left overs from Saturday's service!

Thank you Canon Bob for joining us this past Sunday.

Fr. Yossi will join us again on Sunday, July 9 for Holy Communion followed by a Pot Luck dinner. Please come meet and get to know Fr. Yossi!
