Fr. Paul led our beautiful Holy Communion service on the Fifth Sunday after Easter. Please find Fr. Paul's sermon at the following link:

"True Christianity is Applying God's Word."

At the end of services, Fr. Paul handed out roses in celebration of Mother's Day.

Thank you Phil and Hutch for serving with Fr. Paul.

Thank you Hutch for leading our Morning Prayer service this past Sunday.

Hutch has posted a sign up sheet for Morning Prayer readers in the Parish Hall. Please consider signing up for this important part of our services!

After services, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch of ham, potato casserole, tossed salad, and toasted bread.

For dessert we enjoyed pineapple upside down cake, stained glass cake, and chocolate pie! Everything was delicious. Thank you Team 2, Laurel, Rose Marie, Carol, Benita, & Fr. Paul for the delicious lunch!

Anglican Province of America

Synod 2026

Fr. Paul and Teresa are attending the Anglican Province of America Synod the week of July 20 - 24 in Annapolis, Maryland. The Synod is always interesting both because of the experience of seeing how the national church operates and the joy of meeting so many other Anglicans from across the country. While all members are invited to attend, St. Peter's is allowed one more lay attendee with voting privileges. Please see Teresa or Fr. Paul if you are interested in filling this role as one of St. Peter's voting representatives!

Please see the following link for information on the Synod, agenda, and registration:

An Afternoon Outing

The Mission Committee has planned an afternoon outing for Saturday, May 30. The afternoon starts with attending the play "The Prince of Egypt" a musical about Moses. Please note the location of the has changed! The play will start at 2 pm at the theater on the Milligan University campus.  We will have more location information next week. For more information on the musical please see the following website:

After the play we will eat lunch at Grace Meadows Farm also in Jonesborough. For more information please see their website at:

The deadline for purchasing tickets for the play as part of the St. Peter's group has passed. However, you can still join us at Grace Meadows for an early dinner if you let Rose Marie know by Sunday, May 17.
