He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 John 5:12

Fr. Paul led our beautiful Holy Communion service on the First Sunday after Easter. Please find Fr. Paul's sermon at the following link:

"Eternal Life is NOW!"

.

Thank you Phil and Hutch for serving with Fr. Paul. Thank you Hutch for leading our Morning Prayer service this past Sunday.

Hutch has posted a sign up sheet for Morning Prayer readers in the Parish Hall. Please consider signing up for this important part of our services!

After services, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch of fried chicken, potato salad, Caesar salad, baked beans, bread & butter, yellow cake with chocolate icing, and coconut cake. Everything was delicious but, sadly, I forgot to get a picture. Thank you Team 3, Michele, Lin, Lynn (& Daryl), Hutch & Misty for the wonderful lunch!

Instructed Liturgy

On Sunday, April 26 Fr. Paul will lead an Instructed Liturgy as part of our 11 am Holy Communion service. The Anglican instructed liturgy refers to a special service designed to explain the meaning and elements of the liturgy. This format helps all congregants understand the importance of the rituals and prayers used in Anglican worship. The format of this service will be our regular Holy Communion service with explanations but without a sermon.

St. Peter's Charity Support

Lenten Appeal - 2026

Last quarter St. Peter's chose to support The 2026 Anglican Province of America Lenten Appeal. This year the money collected during the Lenten Appeal goes to supporting the Church of Saint Luke in the Daytona Beach area of Florida.

This Lenten season St. Peter's collected over $700 for this worthy cause. Thank you to everyone for you generous support.

Isaiah 117 House

Jessica, in coordination with the Mission Committee is organizing our next church wide charity outreach project. She sent the following information:

St. Peter's will be supporting Isaiah 117 House for our charity outreach at the end of April. Isaiah 117 is an organization that provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children who are awaiting placement. This can be anything from a few hours to weeks, depending on the situation. There are two associated events coming up:

1. Isaiah 117 is having a fundraising dinner that we have been invited to attend on Thursday, April 23rd. We have two seats left at our table - the signup sheet is downstairs. Jessica will need to turn that in by Thursday, April 16.

2. After service (and a catered lunch) on Sunday, April 26, we will be putting together some care packages for Isaiah 117 House based on the most current needs that Jessica is receiving this week. We do have some money budgeted for charity/outreach, however if you would like to donate to this, please make a note on your check/envelope for "charity" so it goes to the correct fund.

Isaiah 117 was founded by a local family in East Tennessee several years ago and is now operating in 13 states! Please find more information on their website at the address below:

If you would like to attend the dinner/fundraiser on April 23, please let Jessica or me know by Thursday, April 16.

This begins about 15 minutes after the service has ended, allowing all congregants to participate in the complete mass, including  announcements, and minimizing distractions.
