Fr. Yossi led our beautiful Holy Communion service on the First Sunday after Epiphany. His sermon focused on the visit to the temple by the 12 year old Jesus as described in the Gospel lesson from St. Luke. He reminded us that Jesus was both learning and teaching during his time with the doctors (rabbis, teachers of Jewish law). Also, he recommended we gain both theological and spiritual competency rather than relying on blind faith.

Fr. Yossi started a new series of lessons for Christian Education entitled "Heaven and Hell in Christian Thought & Doctrine". We had a wonderful first in series lesson this past Sunday.
Fr. Yossi asked us to bring our Bibles (preferably KJV or NKJV) for these studies. Thank you Fr. Yossi for the very informative lesson!

After services we enjoyed a wonderful lunch provided by Rose Marie, Carole, and Misty. Our lunch included chili with fixings, Caesar's salad, and a peanut butter pudding dessert! Thank you so much for all the delicious food!
We also welcomed Canon Bob, Chris, and their two children. They visited us this Sunday from Knoxville! It was wonderful to see them again!
