We then as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Her...

One of our cherished members, JP, lost his beautiful wife, Lavell, this past Saturday afternoon. Lavell will be missed by all of us and most especially by JP. Please keep JP in your prayers as he grieves the loss of his beloved wife. Also pray for the departed soul of Lavell and remember those she left behind.
ETERNAL rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Amen.

The First Sunday in Lent

Fr. Paul led our Holy Communion service on The First Sunday in Lent.
Please find Fr. Paul's sermon at the following link:
"The Pauline Example."
Thank you Hutch, Phil, and Levi for serving with Fr. Paul. Thank you Hutch for leading our Morning Prayer service.

Team 2 (Fr. Paul, Benita, Laurel, Rose Marie, and Carol) served a wonderful lunch after services! Their dishes included Beef Stroganoff, cole slaw, tossed salad, cheese ball w/crackers, bread & butter, and Oatmeal Cake for dessert. Thank you all for the delicious lunch!

Several of us, including Claudia, Phil, Melinda, and Rosalind, donned purple for the beginning of Lent!

Christian Education:

Fr. Paul will complete his series of Christian Education classes about Anglicanism on Sunday, March 1. After that class, Christian Education will not meet again until Sunday April 12.

During the current study on the 1928 BCP, the children's class has joined the adult class. The Children's Sunday School will follow the same schedule as the Adult class - see above.

Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross services are scheduled for 5 pm on Wednesday March 4 and Wednesday March 18. A light dinner of soup and salad will be served after services.
The fourteen Stations of the Cross allow us to walk with Jesus Christ during His final day before the Crucifixion using fourteen scripture readings interspersed with prayers. Each Station represents one event that happened during Jesus's walk to the cross. We join with early Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem who walked the Via Dolorosa, which is the path walked by Jesus to Mount Calvary. Come join us in this ancient tradition remembering Christ's Passion.

Our 'Burgers and Bingo Night Out" is back on Saturday, March 21 at 5 pm. We will be serving burgers with all the fixings for dinner followed by several rousing rounds of Bingo! This year Rose Marie has added a new twist to the game. She is asking each family to bring a wrapped present - the present is an item from your house that you no longer use (or never used) in good condition and you would like to re-home it! The winner of each game can either pick from the pile of unopened gifts or 'steal' one from a previous winner! Rose Marie will also have one grand prize supplied by the church for last game. If you plan to attend please sign up downstairs or contact Rose Marie.
