Fr. Paul led our beautiful Holy Communion service on the Fourth Sunday after Trinity. Please find Fr. Paul's sermon at the following link:
The Present Age v The Age to Come.

Thank you Hutch for serving with Fr. Paul and for leading our Morning Prayer service this past Sunday.
Also, Hutch has posted a sign up sheet for Morning Prayer readers in the Parish Hall. Please consider signing up for this important part of our services!
After services we enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Team 4, Teresa, Fr. Mike, Nancy, Melinda, and Rosalind! They served pizza sliders, marinated vegetable salad, pretzels, and tortilla chips.
For dessert they served pecan pie, blueberry pie, and apple crumble pie with ice cream and whipped topping! Also, Laurie shared some wonderful cut up watermelon! Thank you Team 4 for the delicious meal!

This week Nancy, Teresa, and Rosalind, all members of Food Team 4, got the blue and white memo!

Fireworks at Teresa's

Teresa is hosting an American 250th Birthday Celebration on Wednesday, July 1. She has invited all of us over to watch fireworks from her yard and read the Declaration of Independence. We will enjoy hot dogs with all the fixings, chili, cole slaw, s'mores, etc. We will also celebrate Agnes' 85th Birthday!
The church across the street from her house puts on an amazing fireworks show every year. Please plan to arrive around 6:30 and bring your own drink, bug spray, and lawn chair (or blanket). Please let Teresa know if you plan to attend - there is a sign up sheet in the basement. Please contact Teresa or me for address and parking information.

Advanced Directives and Planning Event

The Mission Committee is sponsoring an Advance Directives and Planning Event. Teresa sent the following information about this event:
Yes, you have the power to decide who will make important decisions for you regarding your healthcare, finances, funeral, etc. You also have the authority to decide which hymns we sing at your final service, if you make your wishes known in advance. However, these decisions require you to put those choices in writing and in proper form. It is wise to think about these things and put your decisions in that proper form so as to control who and how these important decisions are made.
We have within our congregation people who can assist with these decisions. Laura is able to assist with funeral/memorial service planning. Teresa is offering to assist with the Power of Attorney for healthcare and financial issues. Fr. Paul will discuss planning your funeral service: choice of hymns, psalms, scripture, eulogy, etc. While to some this may seem morbid, for those of us who have gone through the sudden illness and loss of a loved one, it is terrible to make decisions without any guidance from our loved ones. It is the greatest kindness you can give your loved ones.
This event will be open to all St. Peter's members. Date to be determined and more information to follow.
Charity and Outreach
Jessica sent the following information about two charity and outreach efforts:
Isaiah 117

Coming Soon!!!
The Giving Corner
Because our support of Isaiah 117 House is ongoing and their needs are ever-changing, we will soon have an organized corner dedicated to giving. This is an organization that has all ages and sizes come into the house for different lengths of time until the child/children are matched to a foster home. Some of the items Isaiah 117 House is in constant of are:
Monetary gifts
Gift Cards
Underwear (all sizes)
Socks (all sizes)
No used items
I will continue to provide a current needs list as I get updates. Additionally, you are always welcome to use their linktree instead of going through St. Peter's:
Home School Support

A homeschool friend of mine is heading up this project and I thought some of our ladies might have things they may no longer be using.
***There is no need to go make purchases for this - we are only looking for those items you no longer want/need. ***
🧶 Yarn Donations Needed for a Meaningful Middle School Service Project! 🧶
The middle school students at Bristol TEACH co-op are preparing for a special project that combines creativity, learning, and community service—and they need help! Throughout the coming months, students will be crocheting handmade items that will be given to members of our community, including: ❤️ Residents of a local nursing home 📚 Community library 🏥 Children at the local children’s hospital 👶 Families in the maternity ward 🎁 Recipients of Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. This project will help students develop valuable crafting skills while teaching the importance of kindness, generosity, and serving others. If you have any extra yarn you’d be willing to donate—full skeins, partial skeins, or leftover supplies—they would be incredibly grateful. Any color, weight, or quantity can help make a difference! Thank you for helping homeschool students spread warmth, encouragement, and love throughout the Tri-Cities community—one stitch at a time.
Please bring your donations to the church by the end of July and give to Jessica.
