Happenings
APA Diocese of the Eastern United States (DEUS) Synod

Fr. Paul, Diane, and Rosalind attended the Synod of the Diocese of the Eastern United States in Greenville, SC this past week. This is the annual business meeting of the Diocese. Bp Jones gave the State of the Diocese report, Diocesan officers were elected, we received the treasurer’s report and adopted next year’s budget, and listened to special presentations from churches around the diocese. Fr. Paul and I gave one of those special reports on the Consecration of the Church last year.

THE MOST REVEREND CHANDLER JONES, Presiding Bishop, Anglican Province of America (APA) and Bishop Ordinary, Diocese of the Eastern United States (DEUS) opened the Synod on Wednesday afternoon.

Fr. Paul and me after our presentation about the Consecration of St. Peter's and the Burning of our Mortgage last year.

We met up with Sue and Scott! Scott will be ordained as a priest in Atlanta at the end of December. He will then serve at the Holy Apostles Anglican Church in Pewaukee, WI. We miss them both. May God continue to bless them!

Fr. Chris, Lea, and Walter from Hilton Head were also at the Synod. They all helped Teresa and Agnes so much last year when Teresa was ill while visiting Hilton Head.

Fr. Dennis was also there but sadly I didn't remember to get a picture so used this one from when he was our supply priest! We will always be so grateful for all the times he drove over from North Carolina to be with St. Peter's.
The Synod was live streamed both days. Please find the link to each day below:
2025 DEUS Synod - Day 1
2025 DEUS Synod - Day 2
Fr. Paul and I spoke at the beginning of Day 2.
Taylor

This past Sunday, Taylor announced he was moving to Indonesia at the end of August to be closer to his fiancee! We will miss Taylor so much but will keep them both in our prayers as they plan their wedding and begin their life together. He has promised many pictures!
Agnes

Agnes is in the process of moving into the Governor's Bend facility in Erwin where her brother lives. While we won't be seeing her every Sunday, we will begin visiting when she is settled in! Many prayers for a smooth move!
Hope House

Jessica, Keith, and Levi loaded up all the donations from St. Peter's to Hope House. They will deliver them this week. Thank you to everyone who donated! Thank you to Jessica, Keith, and Levi for delivering the donations!
