And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
St. Luke 24:50-51

Fr. Paul led our beautiful Holy Communion services both on Thursday, Ascension Day, and this past Sunday, The Sunday after Ascension.
Thank you Fr. Mike and Hutch for serving with him during Holy Communion services!
Please find Fr. Paul's Sunday sermon at the following link:
"He Ascended into the Cloud."

Hutch led our Morning Prayer service for the first time this Sunday! Thank you leading the service and doing such a wonderful job!
After services we enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by the men's team - Fr. Paul, Fr. Mike, Hutch, Keith, Jim, and JP all brought food. They brought gumbo, two types of baked ziti, ham, smoked turkey, Key Lime Pie, and oatmeal cookies! Thank you all for the delicious food.

Fr. Paul continues his series of Christian Education classes about Anglicanism. Adult Christian Education classes start each Sunday morning at 9:15. Please find a recording of this past Sunday's lesson, at the link below:
What is Anglicanism? Henry II and Thomas Becket and Richard and John."

The children's Sunday School class also met at 9:15.
Next Week

Holy Communion on Wednesday June 4 at 6pm with Fr. Paul.

Please remember Choir practice and Bible Study are cancelled both Thursday, June 5 and Thursday, June 12. We will resume both on Thursday June 19.
Fr. Paul is starting a Wednesday evening Bible Study. He has a sign up sheet downstairs if you are interested. The first Wednesday night Bible Study is scheduled for June 18. Also, starting June 18, the Wednesday evening services will begin at 5 pm followed immediately by the Bible Study.
Next Sunday is Pentecost - also known as WhitSunday. Fr. Paul asked me to share this message:
There is a tradition in Anglicanism that on WhitSunday (Pentecost) every one wears Red to church. If you are able to do so and are willing to continue this tradition, please wear Red next Sunday. Please note this an optional but beautiful tradition."
Blessings,
Fr. Paul

Next Sunday is our monthly Potluck Luncheon.

This past Thursday several of us visited Carole at her home. Fr. Paul celebrated Holy Communion. After lunch, we enjoyed catching up with Carole as we relaxed on her beautiful screened in porch!
It was wonderful to spend time with Carole and see her in such good spirits. Many prayers for her continued recovery!

For Peace, and Deliverance from our Enemies
O Almighty God, who art a strong tower of defense unto thy servants against the face of their enemies; We yield thee praise and thanksgivings for our deliverance from those great and apparent dangers wherewith we were compassed. We acknowledge thy goodness that we were not delivered over as a prey unto them; beseeching thee still to continue such thy mercies towards us, that all the world may know that thou art our Saviour and mighty Deliverer; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen BCP, p. 52
