Bishop Grundorf was joined by his wife, Mary, during one of his visits to St. Peter's.

We received the following message from Bishop Jones about Bishop Grundorf:

Dearly beloved in Christ,

We have learned today that the Most Reverend Walter H. Grundorf, D.D., Presiding and Diocesan Bishop Emeritus for the Anglican Province of America and the Diocese of the Eastern United States, has entered a critical stage in his illness and may not long remain in this mortal life. Let us please pray for him, that the Lord Jesus Christ will sustain and strengthen him, and give him consolation and peace in these challenging days. Please also keep his devoted wife, Mary, his sons, and their families in your prayers during this heartbreaking time.

O FATHER of mercies, and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need; We fly unto thee for succour in behalf of thy servant, Walter, bishop, lying in great weakness of body. Look graciously upon him, O Lord; and the more the outward man decayeth, strengthen him, we beseech thee, so much the more continually with thy grace and Holy Spirit in the inner man. Give him unfeigned repentance for all the errors of his life past, and stedfast faith in thy Son Jesus; that his sins may be done away by thy mercy, and his pardon sealed in heaven; through the same thy Son, our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

We shall keep you posted - thank you and God bless you.

In Our Blessed Lord,

+Chad

The Most Reverend Chandler Holder Jones, SSCPresiding and Diocesan Bishop
