"And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,"
St. Luke 19:41

On the Tenth Sunday after Trinity Fr. Yossi celebrated a beautiful Holy Communion Service. His sermon focused on the Gospel Lesson in which we see the full humanity of our Lord on display as He looks out over the Holy City and weeps. Jesus' vision for the future of the city is so strong and unnerving because He sees the residents facing bondage and servitude to the Roman Empire. He wept because the people fail to see the only way to mitigate those coming events is through His peace. We can obtain Godly peace through the reassurance that God loves us. The peace Jesus gives us is a steady and stable peace anchored within the heavenly realm. St. Paul possessed this peace even though he was persecuted, despised, dishonored, reviled, and mistreated. St. Paul knew we are saved through our sufferings and in tribulations we learn to know our human weakness and God's power!
Thank you Fr. Yossi for the beautiful service and thoughtful sermon. Thank you Anderson for serving!

Bishop Jones has scheduled a visit to St. Peters on Sunday, November 10 - more information to follow as the date gets closer.
We also met up with Sue and Scott!
