And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people, (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. And the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

Helping Hands

In our most recent Mission Committee meeting, we voted to form a "Helping Hands" group at St. Peters. This group will help other St. Peter's members on an as needed basis. The help we hope to offer includes:
-group visits to members who are unable get to church
-assisting members recovering from surgery or accidents
-accompanying Fr. Paul when he brings Holy Communion to people in their home.
Please let me or Diane know if you are interested in supporting any of the activities of this group. We are looking for ideas and suggestions! We will have our first organizational meeting after services Sunday, September 7.
The Annual Deanery Picnic

Several of us attended the Appalachian Deanery picnic this past Saturday. The picnic was held at St. Patrick's in Brevard, NC this past Saturday from 11:30 - 2:30. St. Patrick's is a beautiful church and we had a wonderful time talking with people from other APA churches.
Taylor

In celebration of Taylor's upcoming move and wedding, we are hosting a Potluck luncheon next Sunday August 31 - his last day with us at St. Peter's.
