For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

1 Peter 2:20

Fr. Paul led a moving Holy Communion service on the Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity. Thank you Hutch for serving with him at the altar!

In a powerful sermon, Fr. Paul spoke about the assassination of Charlie Kirk this past week. Please find his sermon at the following link:

"How Much Do You Give Jesus?"

Happenings

Hymns and Hot Dogs

ree

Come join us for a joyful evening of music and fellowship on Sat. Oct. 11 starting at 5pm. We will sing our favorite hymns and then enjoy a dinner of hot dogs with all the fixings!

Please let Rose Marie know your favorite hymns by Sunday Sept 21.

Congregational Meeting

ree

Our Annual Congregational Meeting is coming up on Sunday, November 23 - which may seem a ways in the future! However, at that meeting an operating budget must be submitted and approved by the congregation for the next church year. In order to establish a budget we must ask for pledges. Please prayerfully consider and submit your pledge by Sunday, October 12. As in the past, we ask only for anonymous pledges dropped in the offertory plate or sent in the mail to the church. The pledge slips will be tallied and then destroyed as we do not track pledges. There are blank pledge sheets in the Narthex.

Many Hands Needed

ree

Keeping a busy church running smoothly takes many volunteers. Thank you to everyone for all your time and effort put into making St. Peter's such a wonderful place to worship. However, we are in need of additional help in the following areas:

  • At the congregational meeting we need to elect two new members to our five member Mission Committee to replace Diane and me (Rosalind) as our three year terms end at the end of the 2025 - see Diane or me with questions.

  • Ministering as a server or Lay Reader - please see Fr. Paul about serving in one of these very important roles!

  • Reading one of the lessons during Morning Prayer - Hutch has a sign up sheet downstairs.

  • Serving with the altar guild - they set up our beautiful altar before each Holy Communion service - please speak with Rose Marie or Misty.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of these positions.

Ordo Kalendars

ree

We have the 2026 Ordo Kalendars in the basement at the church. We have both full size as pictured and pocket size available for a donation of $10 each. Please place your donation in the envelope beside the calendars.
