The Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity - The Parable of the Good Samaritan
"Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: for I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them."
St. Luke 10:23

Fr. Yossi led a beautiful Holy Communion service this past Sunday, The Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity. His thoughtful sermon focused on the Gospel lesson from St. Luke 10 which describes the events leading up to and including the telling of the Parable of the Good Samaritan. He reminded us that this parable summarizes the message of salvation in a few verses. We are left dead by the work of the devil, the law can't save us, and our only hope is in the compassion of Jesus Christ. Please find the complete service including the sermon at the following link:
Thank you Fr. Yossi for the wonderful Holy Communion Service
After services we enjoyed some delicious snacks including Sloppy Joe's, potato salad, and two cobblers (peach and blueberry) with ice cream. Thank you Lynn, Carole, and Rose Marie, Snack Team 3, for all the goodies! We welcomed J.P. back after making a full recovery from Covid. So happy to have him back with us and happy to hear both he and his wife are doing well! In addition we welcomed Mere's husband, Sam, to St. Peter's and look forward to getting to know him in the future!
