And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is Be opened.

Please find Fr. Paul's sermon at the following link:
"Is there a Difference?"

Thank you Hutch for leading our Morning Prayer services this Sunday!
After services we enjoyed a wonderful lunch of Chicken enchilada casserole, tortilla chips & salsa, Ceasar salad, bread & butter, brownies, ice cream, and cookies! Thank you so much to Team 3 (Elaine, Melinda, Rose Marie, and Misty) for all the delicious food!

Happenings
Congregational Meeting

Our Annual Congregational Meeting is coming up on Sunday, November 23 - which may seem a ways in the future! However, at that meeting an operating budget must be submitted and approved by the congregation for the next church year. In order to establish a budget we must ask for pledges. Please prayerfully consider and submit your pledge by Sunday, October 12. As in the past, we ask only for anonymous pledges dropped in the offertory plate or sent in the mail to the church. The pledge slips will be tallied and then destroyed as we do not track pledges. There are blank pledge sheets in the Narthex.
Many Hands Needed

Keeping a busy church running smoothly takes many volunteers. Thank you to everyone for all your time and effort put into making St. Peter's such a wonderful place to worship. However, we are in need of additional help in the following areas:
At the congregational meeting we need to elect two new members to our five member Mission Committee to replace Diane and me (Rosalind) as our three year terms end at the end of the 2025 - see Diane or me with questions.
Ministering as a server or Lay Reader - please see Fr. Paul about serving in one of these very important roles!
Reading one of the lessons during Morning Prayer - Hutch has a sign up sheet downstairs.
Serving with the altar guild - they set up our beautiful altar before each Holy Communion service - please speak with Rose Marie or Misty.
Thank you for your prayerful consider of these positions.
Hymns and Hot Dogs

Come join us for a joyful evening of music and fellowship on Sat. Oct. 11 starting at 5pm. We will sing our favorite hymns and then enjoy a dinner of hot dogs with all the fixings!
Please let Rose Marie know your favorite hymns by Sunday Sept 21.
Helping Hands

We held our organizational meeting of the new "Helping Hands" group at St. Peters. This group will help other St. Peter's members on an as needed basis. The help we hope to offer includes:
-group visits to members who are unable get to church
-assisting members recovering from surgery or accidents
-accompanying Fr. Paul when he brings Holy Communion to people in their home.
Thank you to all the volunteers and your willingness to help! Please let me or Diane know if you are interested in supporting any of the activities of this group. We are looking for ideas and suggestions!
Ordo Kalendars

We have the 2026 Ordo Kalendars in the basement at the church. We have both full size as pictured and pocket size available for a donation of $10 each. Please place your donation in the envelope beside the calendars.
