Earl led our Morning Prayer Service this past Sunday, The Twentieth Sunday after Trinity. His sermon was written by Dean Henderson and discussed the Gospel lesson from Matthew about the 'Parable of the Wedding Banquet'. The sermon explains the parable: the King (God) sends his servants (the Old Testament prophets) to invite the guests (the Jewish people) to his son's (Jesus) wedding. The guests refuse to come and kill the servants. The Kings sends an army to destroy the evil & disobedient invited guests (the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD). The King next invites strangers (Gentiles) to the feast. Many come (Christian believers) but one does not dress properly and is removed and killed (non believer) by the King. Thank you Earl for leading the service and presenting such an interesting sermon!

Last week during the yard clean up, Rose Marie washed our sign and this week Earl repainted the sign. What an improvement!! Thank you, Earl & Rose Marie for your work on the sign!

Answering my husband's question of "does Earl ever rest?" - I did capture this moment! Beautiful day for some quiet reflection at church.
