Br. Scott led our beautiful Morning Prayer service this past Sunday. His very interesting sermon focused on the Epistle lesson starting at Ephesians 6:10 with Paul's inspiring words about the Armor of God. He reminded us that just as Navy Seals have necessary equipment, Christian spiritual warriors also have access to special equipment from God. The early church recognized the fight against evil and often broke for prayer many times a day. One of the Navy Seal's most important pieces of equipment are knee pads because they spend a lot of time on their knees. Christians should do the same!

Next Sunday, November 5, Fr. Yossi will continue with confirmation classes in preparation for Bishop Jones' visit in mid December. While the classes are specifically designed for the people to be confirmed, all are welcome to attend. The classes start at 10 am - a pot of coffee will be on!

Matt and Deborah have invited all of us to a blessing of their house by Fr. Yossi on Tuesday, Oct 31 starting at 4:30 pm followed by a chili dinner. Costumes not required but rewarded with extra treats! They spent the last year renovating their home - looking forward to seeing the results of their labor. This is an in depth study of Mark 1:21-45 - the first 24 hours of Jesus' public ministry. The guide is available on Amazon. Please remember to bring the book, your bible, and a lunch!

Our Annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 19 after services. Please plan to attend as we will be approving a budget for next year and electing new members to the Mission Committee.

Agnes's granddaughter got married this past weekend! Sarah and Andrew, the beautiful new couple, are pictured below! Agnes looked beautiful too!

Sam's brother, Dennis, passed away recently. Sam and Merry attended the funeral services this past week and sent this beautiful picture.
