If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
St. John 14:15-16

Fr. Yossi officiated our beautiful sung service with incense this past Whitsunday ( also known as Pentecost). His sermon discussed the Gospel Lesson from St. John 14:15-31 in which Jesus promises the Holy Spirit. Fr. Yossi reminded us that the Day of Pentecost marks the official birth of the Church and the mission of the Holy Spirit which is to enable us to tell the world about the Good News of Jesus Christ. He reviewed the historical events around Day of Pentecost as described in Acts, discussed the deep theological significance of Pentecost, and reminded us that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the world.
Thank you Fr. Yossi for the beautiful service and for the inspirational sermon. Thank you Fr. Paul and Hutch for serving.

After services we enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Teresa, Diane, Agnes, and Lin which included a nacho bar with all the toppings, rice pudding, cookies, and spice cake! Thank you all so much!
