Fr. Yossi led our beautiful Holy Communion service on Septuagesima Sunday. His sermon focused on the parable of the workers in the vineyard as written in the Gospel lesson from St. Matthew.
He reminded us that this parable has been described as the "most glorious parable" because it goes to the heart of the Gospel. As we are all the chosen people of God, we will receive the same reward even though we don't all do the same work in God's vineyard.

The Men's Cook Team provided their first lunch this past Sunday. They provided a wonderful lunch of salad, chicken chili, green bean casserole, corn bread, beef stroganoff, and chocolate cake. Thank you, Fr. Yossi, Fr. Paul, Br. Scott, Hutch, and JP for the delicious food!!
We enjoyed meeting and talking with several new visitors. Also, Mike and Claudia were with us again! Thank you to everyone for a joyous Sunday at St. Peter's!

Fr. Yossi will continue his series of lessons for Christian Education entitled "Heaven and Hell in Christian Thought & Doctrine". Fr. Yossi has asked us to bring our Bibles (preferably KJV or NKJV) for these studies. The classes will continue next Sunday starting at 10 am. Please join us - a pot of coffee will be on!

Our Bible Study will continue this Wednesday at the church. Fr. Paul is leading a series of lessons which are focused on his book As It Is In Heaven A Biblical, Historical, and Theological Introduction to the Traditional Church and Her Worship.

Our first Stations of the Cross service followed by a light dinner is scheduled for Friday, February 16 starting at 5 pm. The service will be followed by a light dinner (soup, salad, and bread). We have two other Stations of the Cross services followed by dinners scheduled in Lent - Friday, March 1 and Friday, March 15. Lin and I are providing the dinner on February 16. Mere, Teresa, and Agnes are providing the dinner on March 1. Please let me know if you are interested in providing a light dinner after the services on March 15.

Lynn and Daryl have generously donated a new faucet for the kitchen sink! Fr. Yossi has volunteered to install the faucet in the very near future! Thank you, Lynn and Daryl for your generous donation and Fr. Yossi for taking on the installation.

Fr. Yossi received the following information from the APA:
Anglican Youth Camp registration is open! Camp will be held in Westfield, North Carolina, at the Vineyards Campground, from June 9th-14th. The ages are 8-16. The cost is $450 per camper. Some scholarships are available based on need. If you can't attend but would like to donate, donations are accepted on the registration site. We are also looking for counselors.
