"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
1 Peter 5:6-7

Br. Scott led a lovely Morning Prayer service this past Sunday. His sermon focused on the Epistle lesson from 1 Peter 5:5-11. Peter wrote this letter to Christian Jewish exiles. He was concerned about their welfare and behavior. Br. Scott reminded us that pride is one of the seven deadly sins. The current celebration of Pride Month is not an example of Godly humility but we should not be prideful in response. Peter also advised that we cast our anxiety on God because He cares for us. As Christians we need to bring this message to our anxious world. As the world wide church struggles, we should remember both He will be with us in strength and we live in communion with brothers and sisters ready to help us.
Please find the complete service at the following link:
Thank you Br. Scott for leading our Morning Prayer Service! Thank you Sue for leading the prayer session before services. Thank you to all the ladies for bringing snacks for us to enjoy after services!!

Our next Women's Bible Study is on Wed. June 21 @ 11 am at the church. We are using "The First 24" for our study guide. This is an in depth study of Mark 1:21-45 - the first 24 hours of Jesus' public ministry. The guide is available on Amazon. Please remember to bring the book, your bible, and a lunch!
After Bible Study this past week, Rose Marie treated us all to lunch at The Chop House. She wanted to thank us for all the help in preparing for Earl's Memorial service. Thank you, Rose Marie for the wonderful lunch!
