Beautiful Lessons and Carols Service on The Third Sunday in Advent

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

St. John 1:14

The Symphony of the Mountains String Quartet, including Sue, played all the music for our beautiful Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols Service. The first Festival was conducted at King's College Chapel, Cambridge, England In December of 1918 as a way to begin healing after the horrors of WWI.

Thank you, Fr. Yossi and Br. Scott for leading the beautiful service! And thank you to everyone who read one of the lessons during the service:

Mere and JP

Diane and Hutch

Teresa and Lin

Rosalind and Misty

After services we enjoyed a magnificent feast downstairs! Thank you to everyone for bringing so much delicious food!

The Women's Bible Study group completed our study of 'The First 24, One Man, One Mission, One Day, Jesus of Nazareth'. It was a wonderful, thoughtful, and inspiring study.

Our next Bible Study starts on Wed. January 10 @ 11 am at the church. Fr. Paul is leading a multi-week study of his book "As It Is In Heaven, A Biblical, Historical, and Theological Introduction to the Traditional Church and Her Worship". He has asked that we read as much of the book as possible before the studies start. Everyone in invited to join us! Please remember to bring the book, your bible, and a lunch!

In 2020 and 2021 we were blessed to have Ming join us at St. Peter's. He shared his amazing musical talents with us, playing the piano for all our services! After colleges reopened, he returned to school and has recently married Maria. Ming and Maria hosted a Post-Wedding Celebration and concert this past Sunday evening.

Ming and Maria sang beautiful Christmas Hymns in English and Italian! Ming played several beautiful pieces.

Scott spoke about Ming, including his time with us at St. Peter's. Sue joined Ming for several pieces!

I took the opportunity to induct Maria into the St. Peter's chapter of 'Ming's Groupies' - started by Diane because all great musicians should have groupies!

Flashback: The original 'Ming's Groupies'!

May God continue to bless Ming and Maria!
