Happy Belated, Blessed New Year!

While late, I wish everyone a Very Happy, Blessed New Year. Hard to believe its 2020! Science fiction books I read in my teens took place in 2020! I had a wonderful vacation but am very happy to be back in Kingsport and with my St. Peter's Family!

Beautiful Christmas Eve Service

St. Peters held a wonderful Holy Communion Service on Christmas Eve. The Church was beautifully decorated!

Both Fr. Dennis and his wife joined us for services. We were all so happy to see both of them.

Sue and Scott added so much to the beauty of the service by performing three hymns.

Thank you to everyone who worked to making the Christmas Eve Service so beautiful!

Since Christmas, St. Peters has held the following services:

-Morning Prayer Service on Dec 29

-Holy Communion with Fr. Scott on the Sunday before

Epiphany, and

-Deacon's Mass on Jan 5 with Deacon Steve Miller.

Thank you lay readers, Fr. Scott, and Fr. Steve for starting our year off in such a blessed way! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to share of these events.

We are tentatively scheduled to restart Bible Study at The Blake on Friday, Feb. 7 at 10:30. Instead of another Margaret Fineberg series, we will study the book of James, 5 chapters - 10 lessons! We are waiting on final confirmation from The Blake.

-----------------------------------------

Russell led the last few Christian Education classes of the year followed by Earl leading the first ones of the New Year. Thank you Russel and Earl. Starting Sunday, Jan 26, we will use the same study of the book of James for Sunday morning Christian Education as we are using at The Blake.

Teresa has agreed to lead the next Women's Bible Study using the 'Made to Crave' six week study by Lysa Terkeurst! She will announce the starting date in the near future. Thank you Teresa!

Above is our most recent monthly article and advertisement in "The Wooded Place Living" magazine. Fr. Dennis wrote this lovely article about Epiphany for us. Thank you Fr. Dennis!

Please keep Gloria in your prayers. She fell a few weeks ago and broke her arm. She was moved from Preston Place to Asbury Place for rehab.

Also, please keep Daryl in your prayers as he recovers from knee surgery.
