St. Peter the Apostle Anglican Church lost one of our cherished members, Earl Dunn, this past Thursday afternoon. Earl will be missed greatly by all of us and most especially by Rose Marie.
Please keep Rose Marie in your prayers as she grieves the loss of her beloved husband. Also pray for the departed soul of Earl and remember all those he left behind.
REQUIEM aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace.
ETERNAL rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
Unto God's gracious mercy and protection we commit you. The LORD bless you and keep you. The LORD make his face to shine upon you , and be gracious unto you. The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace, both now and evermore.
Next Sunday as part of the Morning Prayer service, Scott and Mike will include time for all of us to speak about Earl and share our memories of him. In order to accommodate out of state family, the funeral service including Holy Communion will take place on Saturday, June 17. More information on this service will posted in the near future.
This past Sunday Fr. Sean McDermott from All Saints Anglican Church in Charlottesville, VA joined us for Holy Communion Services. Thank you Fr. Sean for coming to St. Peters, for officiating the beautiful Communion service, and for the lovely sermon! Thank you to Sue and Scott for hosting Fr. Sean over Saturday night so he could join us.
After services we enjoyed a wonderful social time! Thank you to everyone for all the delicious food!
And we so much enjoyed getting to know Terri, Chelsea, and Bill!

Our next Women's Bible Study is on Wed. May 10 @ 11 am at the church. We will use "The First 24" for our study guide. This is an in depth study of Mark 1:21-45 - the first 24 hours of Jesus' public ministry. The guide is available on Amazon. Please remember to bring the book, your bible, and a lunch!
It’s time to celebrate the May birthdays for our St. Peter’s ladies. We will be meeting at the Chop House in Kingsport this coming Friday the 12th at 11:30. Please no gifts or cards just come celebrate with us! Please email Diane or me by Tuesday so a table can be reserved.
Sunday, May 21, is our next monthly pot luck luncheon! Please remember to bring a dish to share!
