There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
St. Luke 16:19-21

Fr. Paul led our Holy Communion service this past Sunday, The 1st Sunday after Trinity. Thank you for the beautiful service and thank you Hutch for serving. Please find Fr. Paul's sermon at the following link:
"Rich Man, Poor Man: Who Gets to Heaven?"

Thank you, Hutch for leading our lovely Morning Prayer service this past Sunday!
After services, we enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Team 2, Laurel, Lin, Lynn and Michelle. Their feast included beef with penne pasta, chicken & rice, rolls, Cesar salad, cookies, and ice cream. Thank you for all the wonderful food!
Christian Education:

Fr. Paul continues his series of Christian Education classes about Anglicanism. Adult Christian Education classes start each Sunday morning at 9:15. Sadly, the recording of the Christian Ed class this week didn't work - so we don't have a link.

The children's Sunday School class also meets at 9:15.

Happenings
Liberty Play

On Friday, June 27, Rose Marie and Teresa are organizing an excursion to the outdoor drama, LIBERTY, which is presented every year at the Fort Watauga Amphitheater in Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park, Elizabethton, TN. The drama tells the story of the settlement of this area and the story of the Overmountain Men travelling to the Battle of Kings Mountain, a decisive victory for the Patriot cause.
Before the show, we will meet for dinner at 5:45 pm at the Black Olive Restaurant (173 Hudson Dr., Elizabethton). Teresa is purchasing show tickets for those signed up to go (Adults $16, Sr's $12, Veterans $8, Children $8). If you want to join us but haven't signed up yet please contact Teresa, Rose Marie, or me.
For information please go to the following link:

Fireworks at Teresa's

Teresa has invited us all over to watch fireworks from her yard on Wednesday, July 2. The church across the street from her puts on an amazing fireworks show every year. Please bring a folding chair and plan to arrive around 7 pm - Teresa will have water and s'mores fixings. Please let Teresa know if you plan to attend - she will give you address and parking information!
