Happenings

Paving the Parking Lot

We have signed a contract to have the upper parking lot and the drive around the lower part of the building paved!! We don't have a start date yet but will keep everyone posted. We are not paving the lower area around the Memorial Garden at this time but please pray for next year!
Many Hands Needed

Before moving to Indonesia, Taylor prepared the bulletins for our services. Fr. Paul prepared the electronic version of each bulletin. Taylor would proofread, print, fold, and put in any inserts. The church provides the printer, the ink, and the paper. Please let Fr. Paul or me know if you are able to help with the important task!
Please also remember these positions:
At the congregational meeting we need to elect two new members to our five member Mission Committee. The new members will be elected to 3 year terms which start on Jan 1, 2026.
Ministering as a server or Lay Reader - please see Fr. Paul about serving in one of these very important roles!
Serving with the altar guild - they set up our beautiful altar before each Holy Communion service - please speak with Rose Marie or Misty.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration of these positions.
Toys for Tots

The Christmas Season is fast approaching!
JP has arranged for us to support and collect for the Marines' Toys for Tots program.

Please remember all the toys must be new and unwrapped. JP set up collection boxes both upstairs and downstairs! Thank you JP for organizing this charity project for us!
Hymns and Hot Dogs

We had a joyful evening of music and fellowship this past Saturday evening. We sang our favorite hymns and then enjoyed a dinner of hot dogs with all the fixings!

Rose Marie sorted through all the hymn requests and prepared all the music sheets for us! Diane and I helped set up the room and move the music machine.

After the singing, we enjoyed a warming dinner of hot dogs with all the trimmings, cole slaw, chips, and cookies. Thank you, Rose Marie for organizing and leading this fun evening!
Agnes

Everyone is invited to the blessing of Agnes's new apartment on Friday, October 24 at 1 pm. Fr. Paul will lead the service. After the blessing we will enjoy cookies, snacks, and drinks. Address information will be available downstairs starting next Sunday.

Teresa sent these pictures of the Mark Lowery concert she and Agnes saw at the Paramount in Bristol. Mark Lowery wrote the Christmas song "Mary, did you know?" . Looks like a wonderful evening!
Fall Yard Work Day

Time to catch up on our church and yard maintenance after this crazy summer. We have scheduled a Fall Yard Work Day for Saturday Oct. 25 @ 10 am.
