After services we enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Team 1 , Diane, JP, Ambler, Keith, and Jessica! They served delicious jambalaya, green bean/potato casserole, pasta salad, and crackers with cheese & salami .
For dessert they served homemade brownies, Angel food cake, and cookies! Thank you Team 1 for the delicious meal!

The Choir is taking a vacation during the month of July. Therefore the regularly scheduled Thursday, 10 am Choir practice is cancelled for the month of July!

Both Christian Education and Children's Sunday School met this past Sunday. Fr. Paul is leading a series of lessons on Islam. The Children's Sunday School will join the adult class for these lessons.

Jessica, Levi, Keith, and Teresa went to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games this past week!
Levi even got to be a King for a bit! They all reported a great time!

1. Fr. Paul's New Podcast
Fr. Paul launched his podcast channel this past week. A new podcast will be posted by 8 pm each Wednesday. If you have a question about anything related to the church, theology, church history, etc., Fr. Paul is happy to answer them in a future podcast. In the church office downstairs, Fr. Paul has a folder in the wire basket beside the calendar for any questions and/or suggestions for a future podcast.

The Giving Corner
Because our support of Isaiah 117 House is ongoing and their needs are ever-changing, we will soon have an organized corner dedicated to giving. This is an organization that has all ages and sizes come into the house for different lengths of time until the child/children are matched to a foster home. Some of the items Isaiah 117 House is in constant of are:

Underwear (all sizes)
Socks (all sizes)

A homeschool friend of mine is heading up this project and I thought some of our ladies might have things they may no longer be using.

🧶 Yarn Donations Needed for a Meaningful Middle School Service Project! 🧶
The middle school students at Bristol TEACH co-op are preparing for a special project that combines creativity, learning, and community service—and they need help! Throughout the coming months, students will be crocheting handmade items that will be given to members of our community, including: ❤️ Residents of a local nursing home 📚 Community library 🏥 Children at the local children’s hospital 👶 Families in the maternity ward 🎁 Recipients of Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. This project will help students develop valuable crafting skills while teaching the importance of kindness, generosity, and serving others. If you have any extra yarn you’d be willing to donate—full skeins, partial skeins, or leftover supplies—they would be incredibly grateful. Any color, weight, or quantity can help make a difference! Thank you for helping homeschool students spread warmth, encouragement, and love throughout the Tri-Cities community—one stitch at a time.
Please bring your donations to the church by the end of July and give to Jessica.

APA Diocese of the Eastern United States (DEUS) Synod
Fr. Paul, Teresa, Diane, and Rosalind will be attending the Synod of the Diocese of the Eastern United States (DEUS) the week of July 20 - July 24 in Annapolis, Maryland. Please note all activities are cancelled those days .
The Annual Deanery Picnic
St. Peter's is a member of the Appalachian Deanery which includes APA churches in East Tennessee, western North Carolina and parts of South Carolina. The annual picnic is an opportunity to meet the many wonderful people who are part of our larger church family. The picnic will be held on Saturday, August 29 at All Saints Anglican Church (15 McDowell Rd., Mills River, NC 28759). If you are interested in attending please let Fr. Paul know. More information about food and times to follow.

Ordo Calendars - 2027
Its time to order new Ordo Calendars. The calendars are $10 each for either the full size calendar (13 3/4" x 8") or the pocket size (3 3/4" x 6"). A sign up sheet will be posted downstairs. Your order and payment are due by August 9! Please pay in advance as the church will have to pay in advance for the order.
