"And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak."
St. Mark 7:37

Fr. Yossi led our beautiful Holy Communion service on the Twelfth Sunday after Trinity. His sermon focused on Jesus' healing of a deaf man with a speech impediment as described in St. Mark 7:31 - 37. He began by reminding us that disease and death are intrusions into God's plan for humanity and that Jesus's primary reason for treating and healing was the salvation of the person's soul. Fr. Yossi concluded by asking us to listen for what God has planned for our lives and to look forward to the time when the world will be healed - all will be right as God intended and all will be well.

Thank you Fr. Yossi and Br. Scott for the beautiful service!
After services we enjoyed light snacks provided by Snack Team 2, Laurel, Sue, and Rosalind! The snacks and the wonderful company completed another joyful day at St. Peter's!

Fr. Yossi led our Adult Christian Education Classes this past Sunday. Since we had several visitors, Fr. Yossi answered many questions about Anglicans, Anglicanism, and St. Peters. Next Sunday we will continue with the third lesson in a series titled Anglican Spirituality, A Closer Walk With God. The classes start at 10 am and all are welcome to join us - a pot of coffee will be on!
We welcomed Susan, Josh, Meredith, and Lin to both Christian Education and Holy Communion services. We also welcomed the same ladies to the Bible Study group this past Wednesday.
