Third Sunday After the Epiphany - The Wedding Feast at Cana

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him." John 2:11

Fr. Scott's sermon for the Third Sunday After Epiphany focused on the the first of Jesus's miracles - changing the water into wine - as described in the Gospel lesson from John 2. He discussed why this miracle was included in John's gospel, why it is spiritually relevant to us today, and the symbolism associated with this miracle.

Please find his complete sermon at the 20:00 mark at the following link:

Fr. Scott stated that just as Mary bid our Lord to act, God bids us to take action also. Thank you for reminding us that Christianity is an 'all in faith' and we can't buy in when it's convenient and withdraw when its not.

In Christian Education this past Sunday, Fr. Scott reviewed the APA structure and information from the APA Canons. Thank you for reviewing this important information!

After services we shared both good company and wonderful food supplied by Claudia, Laurel, and Deborah! Laurel made the beautiful King Cake.

Everything was delicious as the 'after' picture shows!

Thank you all for bringing so much good food!

This Saturday, Matt and Deborah invited us to join them as Fr. Scott blessed their new home. What a beautiful day!

Fr. Scott started outside on the front porch . . .

And then moved through the house blessing the different rooms!

After completing the blessings, Deborah and Matt prepared a beautiful feast for us! Thank you so much for inviting us to share this special day with you and your family! Welcome to East Tennessee, to your new home, and to St. Peters!

Scott and Sue had a scary day earlier this week!

A car crashed into their garage, doing significant damage including to their car and washer & drier. Thankfully, no one was hurt! Sue and Scott are back in their home after a few days in a hotel due to no water. Also, they are able to use Fr. Scott and Maryl's washer & drier while waiting on repairs!

Despite all this . . .

Sue continues to lead our weekly online prayer group on Tuesday at 11:30. Thank you so much Sue for taking the time each week to lead our prayers! If you have a special prayer request but cannot join us, please send your request to Sue. Please contact me (Rosalind) if you would like to join us on Discord.

Last Sunday, I missed the big snowstorm in area - we were visiting my oldest son in Arizona. We had a wonderful time and even got to stay an extra day because our flight back through Charlotte was cancelled due to the snow!
