Trinity Sunday

"If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? " John 3:12

Fr. Scott's sermon focused on the reasons for Trinity Sunday and for the entire Trinity season. This day is the middle of the Christian calendar year. We have completed the major seasons of Christian life from the birth of Our Lord through Pentecost, the birth of the Church. Now we switch to taking a closer look at the life of Jesus Christ and His earthly ministry. Fr. Scott reviewed how the belief in the Trinity makes Christianity different from all other religions. He also reviewed the definition of the Trinity as stated in the Nicene Creed and the unity & harmony of the Trinity. As adopted children of God, we are invited to share in the love and harmony of the Trinity.

Please find his complete sermon starting at the 35:10 minute mark at the link below:

Thank you Fr. Scott for the thoughtful sermon.

After services we enjoyed our wonderful monthly pot luck luncheon!

Soup, sandwiches, casseroles, salads, quiche and banana pudding! Thank you to everyone for the delicious food!

Along with all the delicious food, we enjoyed wonderful company and conversations!

We also hosted a baby shower for Adrienne and Taylor for their soon to arrive baby boy!

Fr. Scott passed on advice and encouragement about the joys of parenthood.

I think Taylor got into the spirit of the moment!

We are so excited to meet your new baby boy!

Sue is leading a book reading and study from "Your Healing Is Within You" by the Anglican Bishop Jim Glennon. We will meet before Holy Communion services between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on July 17, July 24, and July 31. Sue advises this is not a "new age" book, but rather presents an Anglican view and teaching about praying for divine healing. The book itself is out of print, but used copies are available on the internet (amazon, etc). Sue has several copies, but depending on how many people come, we may need a few more - so please let Sue know if you are planning to attend so she can work out the number of books needed. Please contact Sue if you have any questions or need more information. Thank you Sue for leading this study!

Fr. Scott Koszalinski and his wife, Rebecca, are wonderful friends to St. Peters. While living in Knoxville, Fr. Scott K came to St. Peter's the first Sunday the month for over a year (as did Fr. Dennis) before our Fr. Scott joined us in the Fall of 2020.

Around that same time they moved to Oklahoma. They recently sent the following information about their most recent relocation to Florida!

May God Bless them both as they begin their new lives in Florida!
